Running with the Wolves, released in May 2015 by Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. She has recorded several high-profile covers, such as Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which are widely loved. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. The endorsement earned her some recognition. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding a grand piano in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see the possibilities it offered. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to do music just for fun or to aid in growing, but that she was encouraged to pursue it. As a result, she began writing the music she composed herself. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as a love for Bjork's style. Her mother had told her the songs she composed might not be famous for her, rather to help people to realize their own value and impact on this world, she began playing them on stage. At age 6 she started playing the piano and at nine began writing her own songs. Family members didn't even know about this until she turned 14. Aurora's accomplishments were never her dream. As she says, she simply loves writing music. Music to her is the only way to feel anything.
